Planetary Watch
Mercury will soon return to the early evening skies in the west at sunset. It will be extremely low and nearly level with the horizon.

Venus is back in the early morning skies, rising from the southeast just before the sun gets up. It is the third brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon.

Mars is still visible but quite low in the west after nightfall. It’s in the constellation Libra and is definitely red in color and it doesn’t twinkle like a star. It sets before midnight.

Jupiter rises in the southeast horizon in the late evening and climbs into the southeast in the early morning hours.
