Science in the Summer at Avon Grove Libe

Science in the Summer, that popular program sponsored by Glaxo Smith Kline and the Franklin Institute, arrived at the Avon Grove Library on Monday, having entertained the children of Oxford last week.

Teacher Bill Turner enthralled the 16 kids in the class with demonstrations of the ins and outs of physical and chemical changes. During the school season, he teaches at East Goshen Elementary School.

Early on Monday, the 7- and 8-year olds ripped paper, mixed vinegar and baking soda, and generally had a good time.

The program is offered throughout the county in local libraries as well as in the other greater Philadelphia counties and in New Jersey.
